Project Neighbourlands

Building Habitats with Boundaries, Not Barriers

Aim

To develop secure, multi-species, semi-wild environments on medium-to-large parcels of land, tailored for animals that may not thrive in traditional wild reserves — offering them space, dignity, and coexistence without chaos.

Summary

Not every animal fits neatly into the wild-or-captive binary. Some have been raised by people. Others have grown up in managed settings. These animals are often overlooked — seen as too tame for release, yet too wild for captivity.

At Naturally Neighbours Initiative, we believe there’s a better way.

Project Neighbourlands is our vision to create expansive, purpose-designed ecosystems — thousands of hectares in size — where animals can live freely and safely, in environments built to meet their needs while respecting the boundaries of the surrounding human world.

These aren’t zoos, and they’re not uncontrolled wilderness areas. They’re smart, secure, and ethically managed landscapes where the focus is on balance, not spectacle — restoring dignity to animals, while promoting peaceful coexistence with the people who live nearby.

It’s conservation rooted in compassion and grounded in reality — a chance to give animals a future that isn’t limited by their past.

If you believe in building spaces where all life can thrive — responsibly, respectfully, and without compromise — we’d love to have you by our side.
